An Invitation to Write for Our Blog.

     We are currently accepting guest articles to posts on the littlelambkidz.com blog. If you're interested in helping share discussions about Social Emotional Learning, Early Childhood Development, Bullying Prevention and other related curriculum learning topics, we invite you to write for our blog.
 
Our Audience
     Our blog is read primarily by parents and educators looking for material on early childhood development and social emotional learning. These readers are looking for solutions to issues such as bullying, inclusion, interaction to name a few. Our audience includes parents and successful teachers who want to stay abreast of the constant changing landscape of education. They're busy people looking for shortcuts, tips, tricks and information that will help them .

Content 

 We welcome articles that include:

  • Social Emotional Learning (teaching empathy, acceptance of diversity, implicit bias, mindfulness, friendship skills)
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Curriculum Development
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Executive FunctionClassroom Management and prevention of concerning behaviors
  • Current and upcoming policies (exclusion and expulsion prevention, Child Development Block Grant)
  • Social Media and early childhood education
  • Child Development
  • Parenting advice
 

     You may not publish your article/post anywhere else, including your own blog or website or blog. We suggest that you post a brief "tease" or summary on your site that links to the post. You may provide up to four (4) external links: one for your website, one for your bio or About page, one for a social media outlet of choice and one link to a cited resource. While we will work to promote your post, you will be responsible for promoting your post on social media. Your post should be between 600 and 1200 words long. For reference, we highly recommend checking out our previous blog articles. If we publish your guest post, you must assist to drive and respond to any and all of the reader comments. You will need to provide an image for your post. The image should be 1200px wide and 700px tall. You must own the rights to use the image you provide.

Editing
  • First, run your post through Grammarly's free service to scan for grammar and plagiarism Please don't submit an article with errors or information copied for other sources; it will get rejected.
  • Second, run your error-free post through the HemingwayApp (also free). Shoot for at least 6th grade reading level and a minimal amount of "hard to read, adverb, passive voice" errors.
  • We will review your post/article for grammar, punctuation, spelling, plagiarism, etc. If we make any major changes, we will email the post back to you for your approval before posting.
  • We may provide a short introduction or conclusion to your post to provide context or the rationale as to why we think the post is important.
Disclaimer
     We understand the amount of time and effort it takes to write a blog post. The only guest posts we will publish are those which meet our guidelines and the ones we feel will be interesting and beneficial to our readers. If we do not approve your guest post, you may request a brief explanation, but, unless otherwise requested, we won't provide any details as to why. If rejected, the article becomes free for use at your discretion, including posting the article on other social media sites.

  2. Please connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn and/or subscribe to our website. Though this isn't a requirement, . It helps to understand the purpose and willingness to collaborate with our organization.
  3. If we approve your post, we will send you a link to preview the formatting and structure for our website. We typically post weekly on Monday, but can discuss alternate release dates if needed.
